Applications

The Ton is an invite only game. In order to join you must have an invite from a player currently in the game.

Applications are currently CLOSED!
We are now taking a short break from our usual application cycle. They will open again on September 1st!

You will need to complete the following:

Name: Player Name
Age: Player's Age
Contact: plurkname, Discord, etc.
Invited by: Name and plurkname of player who invited you to the game.
Other Character: If you already have characters in game or are applying for more than one at a time, please list them here.

Character Name: Character's Name
Journal: characterjournal
Character's Age: Character's Age
Canon: Canon
Canon Point: The point in their canon that you are taking them from. Include the name of the game if they are CRAU.
Powers: If your character has any superhuman abilities, please list them here. Note that powers are not NERF'd by default, but mods may intervene if powers feel ill-suited for the environment. This is on a case-by-case basis.

Sample(s): We'd prefer if writing samples came from our TDM, just so we can see your character within our setting, but samples from other games/comms/Bakerstreet are also permissible. One thread of at least 5 tags from your character is the sample size we would prefer here, but we're willing to be flexible so long as we get a good grasp of your character's voice from what you provide.

As this is a game set loosely in Regency England, we want to know how your character will adapt to this setting. How might they react to the culture and societal expectations placed upon them as a member of the upper class?: To be answered out-of-character.

You've been invited to a formal dinner! How charming! Now, how do you plan to conduct yourself in such a space? Remember, appearance is everything!: To be answered in-character.

Please note: Applications will be dealt with within one week. They may not be approved in the order that they are submitted, as other factors may be involved such as the mods having more knowledge of a particular canon or having to research another.
