While I am not a fan of being brought here against my will, it did allow me some time away from the circumstances I am facing back in Exandria, which has been something of a reprieve.
As you saw at the ball, the relationship between Caleb Widogast and I is complicated at best, made more so by the floods that came in and caused me to nearly drown. This is in part because Widogast saved my life by giving me mouth to mouth resuscitation. Followed by the sickness that allowed regretful things to be said by both of us. Things have been tense between us since.
Luckily, Ms. Jester Lavorre has arrived, a friend from home, and she has been a breath of fresh air after being inundated with brine for the last two weeks. I was able to call her to take care of Widogast while he was sick. He is very fond of her you see, it is hard not to be taken by her and I would be more shocked if he was not.
While the floods were unfortunate and undesirable, I find that I have met a number of people due to that, some of which I am growing to like. It is my hope that such things do not happen again, but am not ungrateful for the opportunities it provided.
With plans to move in with Caleb, Jester, and a man named Vash in the future, I find myself plagued with uncertainty. Caleb Widogast and myself are attempting to mend the tension that has been created, but only time will tell if we are successful.
